Thirty-five years and 1.5 million data points on what people actually need from work.
Warm, direct, evidence-backed. A practitioner who has been in a great many difficult board rooms.
Moe Carrick is a bestselling author, consultant and founder of Moementum, a certified B Corp. Her books — FIT Matters, Bravespace Workplace and When Work is Good — draw on more than 1.5 million workplace data points and thirty-five years inside organizations. She was the original lead organizer of TEDxBend, has spoken at SXSW and TEDx stages, holds a master's in organizational development, and lives in Bend.
Her thesis is unglamorous and hard to argue with: successful work depends on human relationships, and most organizations are still running management theory inherited from the Industrial Revolution. Her recent writing takes on what AI, hybrid work and the current economy are doing to that.
She'll be talking about work — the thing almost everyone in the room is worried about and nobody quite knows how to discuss without either panic or platitudes.
You'll take away: a new language for the future of work. How to talk to a team about AI without lying to them or terrifying them, what people need from work when the work is changing underneath them, and which leadership habits matter more now than ever.
ONE WATCH — When Work is Good. Her most recent book, and the one that takes on AI, hybrid work and trust directly, discussed in an interview on the Builders Podcast
